Museum Passes
  • Many attractions now provide a coupon code which you must redeem in advance and online when purchasing timed tickets directly from the attraction.
  • Passes may be picked up at the circulation desk when the Library is open.
  • Passes should be returned in the media drop to the right of the front doors.

After receiving a library discount pass, you must reserve a visit online with Boston Children’s Museum. Due to safety measures, walk-ins are not allowed. Museum capacity is limited at this time.

  1. Patrons must first acquire a dated library discount pass.
  2. Then visit https://www.bostonchildrensmuseum.org/ticketing
  3. Review the directions for timed tickets
  4. Click on the "Discount Programs" & drop down arrow
  5. Click on "Half Price Library Timed Ticket " to book
  6. NEW - Online reservations are required to visit PlaySpace.
  7. The date on the library discount pass must match the date of your visit.
  8. After arriving at the Museum, proceed to the admissions scanning station with your online reservation and the date specific library discount pass. If you have questions about the online ordering system, contact Orders@BostonChildrensMuseum.org.

This e-ticket is valid only for one day. You can either print it out and take it with you or display the pass on your phone or device. Either way, please be sure that the pass barcode is visible.

   

Boston Harbor Island discount passes allow you to purchase up to 4 ferrry passes for 50% off.  Passes are valid using the following schedules.

Summer Schedule: June 20 – September 2
Boston to Spectacle Island: Monday through Friday
Boston to Georges Island: Monday through Friday

Fall Schedule: September 5 – September 22
Boston to Georges Island: Thursday through Sunday

End of Season Schedule: September 27 – October 11
Boston to Georges Island: Friday through Sunday

You must pick up instructions and your coupon code at the Library in order to book your tickets online at Boston Harbor Islands.  https://www.bostonharborislands.org/ferry-tickets/

   

Each pass admits 2 people for General Admission at half price. Not valid during special events. This pass is funded by the Friends of the Library.

   

This library membership pass entitles you to up to two tickets for Gallery Admission at the discounted Library Pass rate of $10 per person.

You must print this libray pass or display it on your phone upon arrival. Only valid for the reserved date of visit.

This pass is supported by grant funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services as administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.

   

Each pass admits 1 vehicle for FREE.

Not Valid at Quabbin Reservoir and for camping.

Pass funded by Library State Aid.

Redeeming the pass is a two step process.  After you reserve your pass, visit the Library to pick up your unique promo code voucher and directions.  When you have the voucher, you MUST reserve a timed-entry ticket on the MFA website in advance.  

Each promo code use provides up to two adults with $10 admission per person.  Children 6 and under are admitted free.  Children 7 - 17 do not receive a discount for general admission which is $10.  The pass will provide up to 4 children ages 7 - 17 with a discounted admission ($10)  for special exhibitions This pass funded by Mass Cultural Council.

Review the Aquarium’s website at www.neaq.org/safety ahead of your visit to ensure a safe and accessible experience. Valid only for Aquarium admission. The pass offers a $3.00 discount per person for up to four daytime zoo general admission tickets  Children under age 2 receive a complimentary zoo admission.  All tickets must be purchased in advance online and time ticketing procedures are in place to promote social distancing.  You will receive a paper pass with the discount code to use online.  This pass is funded by the Friends of the Library.   This pass is not available in January and February as the Zoo typically offers a Winter Wonder Days Discount. Pass is funded by Friends of the Library.

   

Each pass admits up to 9 people free to the Museum. Please note that the ship, the USS Constitution, is owned by the US Navy and operates separately from the Museum.  The ship is currently closed.   This pass is provided courtesy of the USS Constitution Museum.
