May's selection for Reading in the Hall is Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and his Years of Pilgrimage by Haruki Murakami.  In this book, the author gives us the remarkable story of Tsukuru Tazaki, a young man haunted by a great loss; of dreams and nightmares that have unintended consequences for the world around us; and of a journey into the past that is necessary to mend the present. It is a story of love, friendship, and heartbreak for the ages.

This program is free and open to the public. William Hall Library is handicapped accessible.  Call or visit the library to pick up a copy of this title for the book club.

Cranston Public Library welcomes back Matt Celeste of Blueflash Photography for a free, 3-part photography class series! Attend all three classes, or just those which interest you the most. Classes will take place on Mondays June 1, 15 and 29 and begin at 5:30 pm. Registration for this event is recommended.

This first class serves as a primer to get you off auto mode on your camera, so you can taking the best photos possible! We'll walk through all the major settings and options, explore examples, and have time for hands-on practice and Q&A at the end. Be sure to bring your DSLR!
