For one hour, Teens will work in pairs or groups and work to build different objects.  For the first session, we will be building with redstone.  Using brain power and YouTube videos, we will be making are a TnT cannon and automatic doors.  Teens are encouraged to bring their ideas with them and expand on the ideas of that session.  THis is a drop in program, so no registration is required.  Laptops will be provided, so teens do not need to bring their own.

Those in grades 6 to 12 may earn community service hours as a member of this organization which both services as an advisory and a fundraising groups. Members help to select materials for the teen collection and plan and help carry out teen programs as well as help organize and carry out fundraising activities. This group meets on the first Monday of the month at 4:30 pm a the Central Library. Refreshments are served. Call 943-9080 X 121 to register

Minecraft Club @ Auburn GRADES 6+ ~ EVERY OTHER FRIDAY ~3:00 - 5:00 PM ~ Build, explore, and team up in various building and versus (PVP) challenges.  Laptops are provided for the event.  Space is limited, so make sure to sign up!

Teens in grades 5 and up will learn how to knit blankets which will be donated to hospitals! Earn community service hours while learning a new skill and having fun! Materials will be provided, but bringing own knitting needles are encouraged. Please register for this program.

Build, explore, and team up in various building and versus (PVP) challenges.  In this five-part session-styled club, we will play in the CPL server to accomplish various missions.  This club is for those in grades 6-12.  Space is limited, so make sure to sign up!  Registration may be found at the children's desk.

Video games, Minecraft PVPs, Legos, card games, and more! Impress us with your skills in a Marvel vs. Capcom or Injustice tournament on the XBox 360; compete in a Super Smash Bros tournament on the Wii; or maybe go old school and play Munchkin,  other card games, or try your hand at Legos. Snacks will be served.

This program is aimed at those in grades 5-12.  To reserve you place in our tournament brackets call 943-9080 x121 or just drop in to play our games.

A few volunteers are needed to help with this program. Teens wishing to earn community service hours for helping with this program should have completed a Cranston Public Library Teen Volunteer Application and call 943-9080 x5 to inquire if there is a vounteer position open.

This is the first workshop of a three-session 3D printing series for teens in grade 6 to 12.  Discover how our Makerbot Replicator 2X 3D printer works and see it in action. You may choose a simple item from Thingiverse and then duplcate it using Makerbot Software.You will be able to take your printed object home the following week. Completion of this workshop earns you a certificate, which also qualifies you for the intermediate workshop. Call 943-9090 X 121 to register.

This second workshop of a three-session 3D printing series for teens in grades 6 to 12 introduces you to Tinkercad, an easy to use 3D CAD design tool that quickly turns your idea into a CAD model for a 3D printer. You will create, move and modify shapes to design objects. You will then create a  design. Please note only those who have completed the first workshop or have experience using the 3D printer may register for this session  Completion of this workshop earns you a certificate, which also qualifies you for the advanced  workshop.
