Using Raspberry Pi, a tiny credit-card-sized computer, build a synthesizer and create MIDI music in this one and a half-hour session presented by the Rhode Isalnd Computer Museum.This program is open tp those entering grade 6 through those who have just graduated grade 12.      Teens will be randomly split into two teams- superheros and supervillains.  The superhero team will work to save the villagers and their city, while the supervillains will work to destroy it.  As teams explore the city, both will find enhancements and special items to aide them in their quest.  The team to save/destory the most, wins!  This event is by registration only.  Registration can be found at the Children's Desk.

Henna by Heather @ Auburn on Tuesday, July 28 at 2:30 pm.  According to Heather, heroines of medieval India were some of the first people in the world to wear fabulous, intricate henna designs that are so popular throughout the world today. Each participant in this workshop on the exciting history of henna, will go home wearing a henna design created by artist Heather Caunt-Nulton (www.HennaByHeather.com) inspired by the Mughal empire - a time of princesses, warriors, kings, and heroines in the land now known as India.

Become a rocket scientist! Design and build an aerodynamic food transportation device(rocket) that can deliver a payload of nutritious food to disaster victims. Test your rocket. Try to make it go higher, farther, & hit a target! Learn engineering concepts, develop math skills, learn about nutrition and help solve a relevant, global issue.
