Join us as we discuss Unholy Night by Seth Grahame-Smith.

Three notorious villains protect a carpenter, his virgin wife and their newborn son as they flee the wrath of their Roman pursuers.  – Kirkus Reviews

Grahame-Smith made headlines last December [2009, in development] after Warner Bros. paid him $2 million for the film rights to Unholy Night before its publication… There's no way of knowing if Grahame-Smith wrote this would-be epic with the intent of having it become a big-budget Hollywood movie, but it's not hard to visualize someone like Jake Gyllenhaal in the role of the murderous yet charming Balthazar. It's a rollicking, swords-and-sandals yarn that could easily have been subtitled in 3-D.  --Booklist

In this program, teens (grades 6-12) will have a chance to explore some popular apps, as well as some not so known ones, for app-enabled devices.  Use your Apple or Android device to make music with Crossfader, art with NASA Picture of the Day, virtual reality with Google Cardboard, play games like Minecraft Pocket Edition, and other things.

Got an app you want others to know about?  We’ve got time for that too!  We even carved some time out to give you some sites to explore for making your own apps!  We will be able to provide several iPads, but feel free to bring your own device since you may want to use some of the apps after the program ends.
