A free program offered by Jaidev Phadke and Jordon DeGroote, members of the local High School South Model United Nations team, ranked top 4 in the nation. The novice course will cover the purpose and basics of speaking, and will cater to students less comfortable to public speaking, while the advanced course will serve a more experienced crowd with a deeper analysis of the skill. Whether a beginner or a seasoned veteran, public speaking is an invaluable tool for every walk of life, and a key ingredient to success in the 21st Century.

ROBERT COUSINS has served as Odd Act Theatre Group's resident playwright since the company’s founding. His first full-length play, All the Rabbits, debuted in central New Jersey in 2007 and was also produced at the Greenbelt Arts Center in Maryland. How the Money Goes, his second full-length, opened the following year and has since appeared at the Edinburgh Festival in Scotland and Capital Fringe Festival in Washington, DC. His work has won awards on tour in Canada and will be featured this summer in Philadelphia. He holds a PhD in performance studies and teaches courses in public speaking and the humanities.

A free program offered by Jaidev Phadke and Jordon DeGroote, members of the local High School South Model United Nations team, ranked top 4 in the nation. The novice course will cover the purpose and basics of speaking, and will cater to students less comfortable to public speaking, while the advanced course will serve a more experienced crowd with a deeper analysis of the skill. Whether a beginner or a seasoned veteran, public speaking is an invaluable tool for every walk of life, and a key ingredient to success in the 21st Century.

Through the course of the "camp," we will be designing games and other programs, culminating with a day of designing a final game with a team and showcasing it!

The camp lasts for five days: Monday,August 4; Tuesday, August 5, Wednesday, August 6; Friday, August 8; and Saturday, August 9. Students who sign up for the program are expected to come for all the days of the "camp," with Saturday being optional.

    Arduino is an open-source platform used for building electronics projects.

It consists of a programmable circuit board and software that runs on a computer.

Working in small groups, we’ll use the SparkFun Inventor’s Kit. This kit includes everything needed to complete 15 circuits. We will learn how to read sensors, display information on an LCD, drive motors, and more.

Previous programming or electronics experience is not necessary.

For ages 12-18 with registration. Another session will take place on August 8th, register for this one as well if you wish to attend.

Interactive Public Speaking

… at the West Windsor Public Library

A free program offered by Jaidev Phadke and Jordon DeGroote, members of the local High School South Model United Nations team, ranked top 4 in the nation. The novice course will cover the purpose and basics of speaking, and will cater to students less comfortable to public speaking, while the advanced course will serve a more experienced crowd with a deeper analysis of the skill. Whether a beginner or a seasoned veteran, public speaking is an invaluable tool for every walk of life, and a key ingredient to success in the 21st Century.

Novice Class Schedule: July 23, 24, 30, 31

1st Class: 6pm-7:30 (23rd)
