There are some people who give and take and there are some who only take. But there are some who always give and they are the happiest people of all. The more you give the more you receive and that is the law of karma. Let’s start to give others what we would like to receive and see the magic. It can be respect, love, happiness, and friendship or even material things. Sometimes we hold ourselves back when it comes to giving because of the fear of being taken for granted or getting hurt.

Join Leena in this insight session and let’s explore together what are those blockages that stop us from being a giver.

Leena, a 9 year practitioner of Rajyoga meditation, delivers youth and adult programs on values and facilitates workshops on topics such as Harmony in Relationships, Stress Free Living, & more. She conducts classes at different Brahmakumaris locations including Piscataway New Jersey and at Peace Village Retreat Center in New York.

This workshop provides basic training in the use of QuickBooks accounting software in the cloud. Through a lecture and demonstration format, you’ll get an overview of how to effectively use QuickBooks from the perspective of a small business owner. We will approach the subject as a sales process, including how to track customers, sales, income, expenses, deposits, payments, etc.

This is an interactive session, and participants are encouraged to prepare for class by downloading QuickBooks Online via a free 30-day trial from www.intuit.com and by bringing a fully charged laptop to class to get a hands-on experience. We will be using the Essentials version of QuickBooks in class, but you can compare various versions at http://quickbooks.intuit.com/online/compare/ to select the most appropriate one for your business.

Dr. Bala Subramanian is a highly experienced management consultant with versatile business background, teaching and managing diverse and complex technologies in business and industry.  He is the owner/CEO of Synergism, Inc. and previously was Associate Professor of Business Information Systems at DeVry University.

Upon its first appearance in 1895, Thomas Hardy's Jude the Obscure shocked Victorian critics and readers with its frank depiction of sexuality and an unbridled indictment of the institutions of marriage, education, and religion. According to one report, the book caused an Anglican bishop to order the book publicly burned. The experience so exhausted Hardy that he never wrote a work of fiction again.

Rich in symbolism, Jude the Obscure is the story of Jude Fawley and his struggle to rise from his station as a poor Wessex stonemason to that of a scholar at Christminster. It is also the story of Jude's ill-fated relationship with his cousin Sue Bridehead, and the ultimate tragedy that causes Jude's undoing and Sue's transformation. Jude the Obscure explores man's essential loneliness and remains one of Hardy's most widely read novels.

The Last Chronicle of Barset is the grand finale to the Barsetshire series of novels, Trollope’s magnificent portrayal of the professional and landed classes of Victorian England. The plot focuses on Mr. Crawley, the fanatically proud curate of Hogglestock, already known to readers of Framley Parsonage. Accused of theft and persecuted by the domineering Mr. Proudie and her self-righteous followers, he is perhaps Trollope’s only character conceived on a heroic scale, and his sufferings reach a tragic intensity. Other familiar characters on the Barsetshire landscape include Mr. Harding, whose old age is movingly described; Grace Crawley, who becomes romantically involved with Major Grantly; and Johnny Eames, who continues his pursuit of Lily Dale but becomes entangled in a dangerous flirtation with the intriguing Madalina Demolines. Lady Lufton, Mr. Robarts, the Greshams, and the Thornes also reappear to play their final part in the Barsetshire drama.
