Through structured group activities, we play with musical instruments, puppets, parachutes, and more! There is an emphasis on interaction with the music and the rhymes through singing, actions, and props to build pre-literacy skills. This program runs about 30 minutes.

    Touch Tech Labs M.I.T. Scratch Programming class is a way to get kids to create their own stories, games, and animations and share with others around the world. Scratch helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively — essential skills for life in the 21st century. The ability to code computer programs is an important part of literacy in today’s society. When kids learn to code in Scratch, they learn important strategies for solving problems, designing projects, and communicating ideas. Join this fun class to make animated games like Pac-Man and Tic-Tac-Toe.

    In this five part film workshop for ages 8-12 we will introduce basic filmmaking equipment and techniques such as storyboarding, composing a shot, getting good lighting and sound, developing a script and shot list, and film editing.

We will shoot a short (~3 minute) film and show it at the last class.

Participants MUST attend the first class and must be committed to attend all the other classes.

Classes will take place on May 7, May 14, May 21, May 28, from 6:00-8:00 pm.

Classes will take place on May 7, May 14, May 21, May 28, from 6:00-8:00 pm.
