A new session of Mother Goose on the Loose, the lap-sit nursery rhyme and story program, will begin at the Plymouth Public Library, 132 South Street, on Wednesday, September 14 at 10:15 a.m. This free program is for children ages 18 months and younger with a parent or caregiver.  The program will run for ten weeks.  Registration will begin two weeks before the beginning of the session, and includes 10 consecutive weeks. Please note: The Wednesday and Thursday sessions of Mother Goose on the Loose are seperate programs with seperate registrations. Please only register for one or the other.

Library staff presents this half-hour story time at 11:00 a.m. Tots & Tales is a lap-sit storytime for children age three and under, accompanied by a caregiver, and is an opportunity for the youngest library users to enjoy all that the library has to offer: books, CDs, DVDs, puzzles, puppets, new friends, and fun!  The storytime consists of age-appropriate rhymes, stories, songs, and other fun literacy building activities.  This program is free and no registration is required.

South Shore Community Partners in Prevention (SSCPP) serves 11 communities on the south shore.  The group presents a partnership between the Massachusetts Department of Health, hospitals, service agencies, schools, business, boards of health, residents and other concerned citizens.  The event will be on Health Literacy present by Helen Osborne, She speaks about Health Literacy and  SSCPP through research has found health literacy to be an issue.

Calling all crafters! Learn how to summon lightning bolts with a bow and arrow or build giant rainbows in the Minecraft world with code! Spawn farm animals or monsters instantly and have fun "modding" your world! (This workshop introduces coding concepts by showing students how to build or change (e.g. mod) the game using the Javascript or Python programming language. The set-up is easy for beginners, challenging for experienced gamers and fun for everyone! The workshop is part of ongoing outreach by the Rhode Island Computer Museum. Free. Ages 9 and up. If you've inherited a collection do a little research on it, you might decide to continue collecting instead of just trying to sell the collection. Collectors are a dying breed. It's a very interesting hobby through history,art,music,architecture,space,birds,famous people,nature,sports......You name it, there are stamps of the world on that topic. See the world-collect stamps!

The program begins at 10 a.m. and will end at 5 p.m. so please drop in and experience a day of Poe-try.
