Roll the dice and brave adventures in our Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying game for teens in grades 6-12. Whether you have played D&D before or have only ever heard of it, all skill levels are welcome! We will meet on Saturdays for each game session. Dice, character sheets and pre-made characters, pencils, and sourcebooks will be provided, but you are also encouraged to bring your own if you have them. There is limited space for each game, so register for each session you can participate in.
- 12:30-1:30 pm--Learn the basics of Dungeons & Dragons, create a character or choose a pre-made character, and ask any questions before the game.
- 1:30-3:00 pm--Play a Dungeons & Dragons adventure with guidance from the staff Dungeon Master (DM)
Follow the wintery story pages around the plaza to find what happens during this year’s Holiday Storywalk®. Each story board has a different activity to encourage comprehension skills and enhance the fun! Optional activity sheets are available at the first sign by the fountain. Participants may turn in their completed activity sheet to the Library Help Desk for a prize.

Are you interested in volunteering at the public library? Do you need community service hours for school? Volunteer opportunities are available to teens ages 13-18. To volunteer, please fill out an online application. You will receive an email with a permission slip attached. Have it signed by a parent if you are under 18, and return it to the library prior to attending one of the training sessions. Training sessions are MANDATORY and are held the first Tuesday of every month from 6:30 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. Thank you for volunteering!

Join us for monthly nutrition classes hosted by Certified Nutritionists Debra Payne and Richard Tettamant from Meals Matter. Each class features informative nutritional presentations, beautiful nutrition handouts, recipe demonstrations and delicious food samples.
Get Focused for Adults
Are you experiencing brain fog or having trouble focusing? This class explores the gut-brain connection and which foods have the potential to create or reduce brain fog, lack of focus and mental clarity.

Are you a bookworm looking to keep track of the books you have read or want to read? Then a reading journal might be just the thing for you! Not only does it allow you to reflect on your reading experience, but it can also help you remember important details about the books you've read and identify patterns in your reading preferences.

Nutrition: Label Reading
Can you look at a Nutrition Facts label and know if you are getting too much fat, sodium, or sugar from the pre-packaged foods that you eat? If not, this class is perfect for you. This class will review how to read a Nutrition Facts label to help with food choices, portion control and chronic disease prevention and management.

Please bring a wrapped book if you would like to participate. Please note that there is also an evening Book Club Holiday Party on December 12, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. if you are unable to attend the morning event.
