Friends of the Library Book Sale

Friends of the Library Book Fall Book SaleThe Friends of the Library will be hosting their book sale on the lawn of the Library. RAIN or SHINE.

1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. is the $10 bag sale - bring your own reusable shopping bag.

  • Books are: sorted & categorized, all new donations, not picked over, and never scanned.
  • The Friends will also be collecting donations from the public through Monday, September 30. Just drop off books (in bags or boxes, please) at the Goffstown Public Library during business hours only. We cannot accept textbooks or damaged books, VHS cassettes, Reader's Digest condensed books, encyclopedias or magazines, or titles that are dusty or moldy. Book donation collecting will resume on Monday, November 4.
  • Volunteers for this event are needed October 15-19, please let us know if you can lend a hand at the email or phone # below. Please get in touch if you can volunteer, or if you have questions.

    Many tasks involve minimal lifting, like unpacking books out of boxes and displaying them on tables, but if you have some muscle, we can use the help moving the boxes, too - there are jobs for any ability, and help is greatly appreciated. Please lend a hand on the Library lawn on:

All levels, from beginner to fluent, are welcome to practice their Spanish in the Intergenerational Spanish Club!

Use what you know or expand your vocabulary with the help of Mango Languages, a language-learning app that you can access with your library card.

Beginners will meet from 6:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. and will practice speaking and listening alongside library staff using Mango Languages on a laptop. 

Intermediates + will meet from 7:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. and will practice grammar and conversational Spanish with guiding prompts.

Toys for Tots

Toys for Tots Bear

The Goffstown Public Library is proud to be a local drop off site for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. The Foundation needs new and unwrapped toys and gifts for all ages, especially TEENS. The toys will then be distributed as holiday gifts to children and teens in need in the local area.

Tuesday, November 12 through Friday, December 13 - A large box will be in the Library foyer for you to bring your donations of new, unwrapped toys - please add a child or teen to your shopping list this year and drop off your donations during open hours only.
