Getting Started with EventKeeper!
-
Login
You can login as an EventKeeper editor by following the link on the EventKeeper home page or the link at the bottom of any EventKeeper Event List page. After you login, if you see the Admin Page button at the top of the page, you are an Administrative Editor (congratulations).
Clicking on that button takes you to the Admin Index Page. From there, you can Add, Edit and Delete Editors and you can change the configuration of the calendar. To modify the calendar settings, click on the Edit Org Info button which will take you to the Organization Editor page.
-
Logo
One of the things that you might want to change is the logo in the upper left corner of the EventKeeper Event List page. To do so, log in as an Administrative Editor, go to the Organization Editor page. In the section called EventKeeper Headers and Footers there is a field called LOGO URL [Link].
Initially, you can specify a full URL, e.g. http://www.mysite.com/logo.gif which points to any image on the web. Once you are satisfied with the look of the logo, just let us know and we'll put a copy of the image on our servers for better performance. For best results, the logo should be 160 x 160 pixels and in GIF or JPG format.
-
Headers, Footers, Colors
Once you're on the Organization Editor page, you can change the headers, footers, colors, etc., etc. You can use the Interactive Color selection utility to see what your colors will look like.
-
Editors
From the Admin Index page you can add, edit and delete editors. You can (and should) change your password as part of the editor editing function.
-
Adding Events and Popup Notes
When you are logged in as an editor, you can create popup notes to provide additional information about events by clicking on the Add Note button at the top of the page. Once a note has been created, it can be associated with an event by editing the event and selecting the note from the list of available notes.
-
Keywords
When you add an Event, you may add Keywords to help users find a particular group of events. The drop down lists of keywords on the Event List page are created by listing all the keywords for the events that are displayed.
