  • To reserve a pass you must be a Scituate resident with a valid adult library card in good standing.
  • Using the calendar, choose your date and then click on the pass you wish to reserve.
  • Type in your library card barcode and submit.
  • An email address is required . You will receive an email confirmation containing directions on how to purchase your discounted tickets.
  • Please call the library at (781) 545-8727 if you do not have an email address.
  • Passes may be reserved up to 60 days in advance and there is a limit of two passes per family per day.
  • If you change your mind, please cancel your reservation by clicking "my passes" or call the library. This allows another family to use the pass.
  • Museum passes are generously provided by the Friends of the Scituate Town Library.

Located in the Mary Baker Eddy Library at the Christian Science Publishing Society building in Boston, the Mapparium is a three-story, stained-glass globe representing the world as configured in 1935. A bridge traverses the interior, allowing visitors to view the world from within. A presentation combines words, music, and LED lights to illustrate the transformation of the world over time and geography. The Library also features the exhibit “The Mapparium: An Inside View,” which provides some background on the construction and history of the globe.

This digital pass will be delivered to you via email once you complete your reservation. It admits up to four adults free of charge to the Mapparium™ globe in the How Do You See the World? experience (value $6/Adult). Youth 17 and younger are always free. All other exhibits in the How Do You See the World? experience are always free, as are weekend church tours, and neither require a ticket.

Hours: Monday–Saturday: 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Sunday: 11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Mapparium showtimes run every 20 minutes until 4:40 p.m.

Place the hangtag directly on your rearview mirror so that it will be easily seen by park staff.

This returnable pass may be picked up the day before or on the day of use. Passes reserved for a day the library is closed, must be picked up on the closest business day preceeding use. For example, for a Monday holiday in the summer, pass will be picked up on Saturday.

This pass must be returned to the library by 9:00 am on the day after it is used, unless otherwise directed.

This coupon Pass allows two adults and all children under the age of 18 reduced or free admission to one of the many Trustees properties across the state that charge an admission fee.

*Advance timed tickets are required at Fruitlands Museum, deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum and Castle Hill. Further instructions will be included in your pass reservation email. 

GO Passes are valid for admission only; not valid for camping, parking kiosks, special events and programs, equipment rentals or in place of permits.

Please see the Trustees property guide available at the front desk for ideas of where to visit. Consult this guide or their website for info on regular and reduced admission fees by location.

The GO Pass has the same admission fee benefits as a family membership.

This pass may be picked up at any time after you make your reservation.

This coupon pass may be used on any day.

This coupon pass does not need to be returned to the library.

A link to a printable pass will be provided on your museum pass booking confirmation page.

Bring the pass with you (either a printed copy or save it to your phone) when you visit the museum.
