Janyak is an ancient lace knot that evolved from net-making and is made with just a needle and thread. This workshop will explore a common pattern in janyak known as “Ararat” or mountain pattern. This pattern is a great introduction to the type of pattern and image making that one can create with knotted needlelace and can be used to adorn all sorts of materials.
