Music Dynamics with Brad Peterson

Music educator, Brad Peterson will lead children in a variety of musical activities including finger plays, nursery rhymes, poems, songs, circle games, dances and stories for children ages 2-6 with an adult caregiver.  Each session is a fun, fast paced lesson designed to help children with pitch matching and steady beat skills, as well as helping them with their early language arts development.  Register online for each class you plan to attend.

Two Right Feet: Shake, Rattle and Read

"Two Right Feet" is a literacy and school readiness program that features live music, basic sign language, dramatic story telling and percussion instrument band games. Program director Hannah Cote has training in early childhood education and occupational therapy. She is accompanied by Garrett on the bass guitar. This week's session will include: a name the instrument game, a creative movement activity and a dramatic reading of Timbland's "Nighttime Symphony."  Open to ages 4-7 with a parent or caregiver.

Author Talk:The Knitting Witch with Susan Kassirer

Join Sue Kassirer, editor, and Mark Richardson, illustrator, for a book signing and story telling of the discovery and publication of The Knitting Witch, penned in the 1950s by Norma Kassirer and cherished by her daughter Sue during childhood. After Norma's passing, Sue rediscovered the manuscript, sparking a journey to bring this treasure to today’s readers. Sue asked an artist friend, Mark Richardson, to illustrate the book. Mark went on to create a limited number of handmade copies before publishing.
